Thanks to the Washington Electric Vehicle Instant Rebate, owning or leasing a new or used Electric Vehicle (EV) is more accessible with generous upfront discounts.
Washington State allocated $44,725,000 to support the EV Instant Rebate program that runs from August 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025, or until the allocated funds run out. Depending on how you purchase a new or used EV, rebates are from $2500 to $9000.

Summary
- Income Criteria: There are income limits to qualify, not everyone will be eligible (see below for details)
- Combining Rebates: The Instant Rebate can be stacked with federal rebates and available manufacturer discounts when applicable.
- Eligible EVs: The Instant Rebate is available with the purchase/lease of a new Chevrolet Blazer EV or Equinox EV, AND with the purchase of a used or Certified Pre-Owned EV 2016 or newer.
- Qualifying Vehicles: Only full battery Electric Vehicles qualify; hybrid vehicles do not qualify.
- Instant Rebate: The rebate is applied directly during the purchase or leasing process.
Eligibility
Residents of Washington State with household incomes at or below 300% of the federal poverty level, amounting to $45,180 annually for a single resident, are eligible for the rebate. Residents already enrolled in any of the listed programs below also qualify. Customers will be required to sign a “Customer Eligibility Form” to verify their eligibility (see form).

- New EV Lease: (36+ Month) = $9000

Q: What documents do I need to have with me at the time of purchase?
A: You will just need to complete the Customer Eligibility Form and provide a copy of your Washington State Drivers License. Please note that all addresses must match (Drivers License, Customer Eligibility Form, Sales/Lease Agreement and Vehicle Registration).
Q: Do I need to register or sign-up for the program before coming to the dealership?
A: Nope! There is no need to register or sign-up before coming in to purchase or lease your new or used car. If you want to fill out the Customer Eligibility Form beforehand and bring it with you, you are more than welcome to, but our Chevrolet sales staff are more than happy to assist you through the process!
Q: How is sales tax calculated with the WA EV Instant Rebate?
A: The tax is calculated on the price of the vehicle before any rebates are applied.
Q: If the EV I’m buying/leasing also has a Federal EV Rebate, does it still qualify for the WA EV Instant Rebate?
A: Yes! The Washington State EV Instant Rebate can be combined with Federal and Manufacturer Rebates when qualified.
Q: Does it matter where the EV was manufactured? Are all EV models eligible?
A: All fully electric models with an MSRP less than $90,000 are eligible for the WA EV Instant Rebate. However, not all models that are eligible for the Instant Rebate will be eligible for the IRA Federal Tax Credit.
