With the Trim Levels of the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado, you’ll be able to choose from three different configurations: an extended cab with a long box, a crew cab with a short box, and a crew cab with a long box. Depending on your needs and requirements for the vehicle, you may want to keep an eye out specifically for one of the three. You also will have to choose between two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variations.

Additionally, there are a variety of trims available between the different configurations that let you get a little more specific with your loadout and options. All in all, there is the base Colorado truck, the WT (work truck), the LT, the Z71 and the ZR2. Some of these options are only available in certain configurations, such as the ZR2 only being found with all-wheel drive models. Each trim offers a variety of color choices as well as interior and exterior offerings.

In addition to the 2.5L four-cylinder engine, there are more features found on the base 2020 Colorado that we’d like to talk about today. You will find a six-speed automatic transmission, electronic traction and stability control, power steering and more. There are standard features found across all trims, including the base model, such as a six-speaker sound system, an electrical theft-deterrent system, and power locks for your doors.

Also found on the base model are awesome features like a rear view camera, dual USB ports up front, capless fuel fill on the outside and more. There are daytime running lights, as well as halogen headlamps. Most of the safety features found on the Colorado are found standard in the base model, meaning you won’t have to upgrade to a higher trim if all you really care about is the safety features afforded to you.

You will also be able to choose from three different engine offerings depending on Trim Levels of the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado. The base model truck comes standard with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine, offering 200 horsepower, 191 lb.-ft. of torque, 3,500 lbs. of towing capacity and more. Also available is a 3.6L DOHC V6 engine, with up to 308 horsepower, 275 lb.-ft. of torque, 7,000 lbs. towing capacity and more. Finally, there is also an available turbo-diesel engine that is 2.8L, 369 lb.-ft. of torque and excellent fuel efficiency.

Once you go beyond the base trim, and you get into the WT, LT, Z71 and ZR2, you will start to see some of the more advanced features that aren’t requirements for a great vehicle, but are exciting to have access to all the same. These include features like a high definition rear vision camera, a spotter mirror, body-color door handles and more. Some of the more advanced features you might find on the interior include automatic climate control air conditioning, chrome interior door handles, heated front seats and more.


Trim Level Upgrades for the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado

The most expansive and feature-filled trim you can find on the 2020 Chevy Colorado is the ZR2, found only featuring four-wheel drive. The ZR2 comes standard with the 3.6L V6 engine, and an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission. This trim also includes driver-selectable full-locking front and rear differentials, improving handling and increasing traction. The ZR2 features hill descent control, off-road rocker protection, and a standard trailering package.

The trailering package includes a two-inch receiver hitch, 4- and 7-pin connectors, electrical power for your trailer’s lights and brakes, and more. This trim is outfitted with 17-inch 265/65R17 Goodyear® Wrangler DuraTrac® maximum traction tires, a black rear bumper with integrated CornerSteps, body-color heated power side mirrors and a whole lot more.
